Podiatrists

Podiatrists are the primary health care practitioners for the foot.

A podiatrist can give advice, assess and treat skin and nail conditions of the foot.
Podiatrists can also provide advice about footwear and shoe inserts and suggest changes that may help with painful feet or difficulties walking.

A podiatrist can request x-rays and ultrasounds and can refer you to relevant specialists within the health care system.

Podiatrists work out of private practices, hospitals or clinics and some podiatrists do home visits.
